A quick but important reminder as the season winds down: nominations and applications for our two summer awards are still open, the deadline is midnight this Monday, July 27. Seniors, please submit yours online for a chance at some cash (This means you Brenna and Eden!)...

🏅 J. Kyle Hurdle Scholarship — up to $800, for graduating seniors

For a recently graduated senior (or a swimmer who's completed their final year of GPSA eligibility) heading on to college, trade school, or an apprenticeship. Swimmers apply themselves; the essay (300–700 words) is written right on the form.

Prompt: "What positive impact has summer swimming had on your life? How do you intend to pay this forward?"

🏅 Kei Lamberson Outstanding Coach Award — $500, nominate a coach

Honors a coach who brings joy, compassion, and companionship to every swimmer. Families nominate — so please encourage the parents on your team to recognize a coach who's made a difference (250–750 word essay).

Prompt: "How has your coach demonstrated joy, compassion and companionship in connecting with all swimmers on your team this summer?"

A few things that make this easier this year:

- It's all on one page — fields and essay together, nothing to attach.

- Submitters get an automatic confirmation email.

- The form closes itself at the deadline, so please don't wait.

Winners will be announced at the Championship (City) Meet on August 1.
