Hi Mudtoad families. This email is being sent out to give further information, update some information, answer some questions, and remind you that the swim-a-thon is quickly approaching. It is July 12 8:00-11:00

• Why should I participate? We used fundraising to offset individual costs and help avoid raising registration fees. Other local swim teams charge $250 to join swim team.
• Do I have to participate? Participation is not mandatory but we ask everyone to try. This is a fun event that allows family and friends to support your swimmer without having to buy anything they don't need.
• How does it work? Using the pledge forms, collect sponsorships (either a flat amount or a per lap amount) from neighbors, family, friends, and you can even sponsor your own child!
• When/how do we turn in the money? After swimming your laps, calculate the amount due, collect from your sponsors and Venmo @marlbanktreasurer or write a check and give to a member of the admin team or Suzanne Vogel ([email protected])
• What do we get? Besides knowing you helped your swim team, each swimmer will get: 1) a goodie bag, 2) a donut, 3) a rubber duck, increasing in size depending on how many laps swam.
  • In addition, those who raise at least $50 will get a Mudtoads Swimathon t-shirt, sponsored by Tim Minor, State Farm. If there are siblings swimming, it will be $10 additional dollars raised for each swimmer to get another shirt.
  • For every $20 raised, your name will be put in a drawing for an Amazon gift card.
• What time is it? Come to the swimathon during your regularly scheduled practice time. If you aren't able to make your practice time, feel free to come anytime between 9-11. We ask that you try to keep the 8;00-9:00 time slot open for 8 years and younger. Feel free to have siblings come during the same practice time.
• Do you need volunteers? Yes! We can use volunteers to help count laps, man the prize stations, watch over the waterslide, and cheer on the swimmers.
• What can we expect? There will be music, excitement, free donuts for the swimmers, donuts for purchase by the dozen in a very limited quantity and a waterslide!!
